Directions
from the North (Philadelphia, Princeton, New York):
Take I-95 S thru Wilmington to exit 4A, Route 1 S.
Take Route 1 S to exit 152, Route 72.
At top of off ramp go right
(towards Lums Pond State Park). Immediately
get in the far left lane and turn
left onto McCoy Road. Continue on McCoy to the stop sign (Kirkwood-St.
George's Road). Turn right. Turn left at white fences into Mariners Watch and
follow the road to #208. We are past the second cross-street on the right.
Directions
from the South (Baltimore, DC):
Take
I95 north just past Delaware state line. Take exit 1 (Route 896 south). Just
past Denny Road is a traffic light for Howell School Road. Turn left here and
continue until you reach a T intersection at Route 71, Red Lion Road. Turn
left, cross the railroad tracks and immediately
turn right onto Kirkwood-St. George's Road. Proceed approximately ½
mile and turn into Mariners Watch on the right. Follow the road to #208.
To
Avoid Toll from the South (Baltimore, DC):
Please exit to Route 40 east sometime prior to
I-95 Maryland exit 89, Harve-de-Grace. Proceed
on route 40 over the Thomas J. Hatem Memorial Bridge (see below for toll
information). Continue on Route
40 east until you get to Route 896 in Delaware. Turn right on Delaware Route 896. Continue south on Route 896. Just past
Denny Road is a traffic light for Howell School Road. Turn left here and
continue until you reach a T intersection at Route 71, Red Lion Road. Turn
left, cross the railroad tracks and immediately
turn right onto Kirkwood-St. George's Road. Proceed approximately ½
mile and turn into Mariners Watch on the right. Follow the road to #208.
We have clocked ourselves at a distance of 35 miles from Maryland House
when getting off I-95 at
exit 85.
The
Hatem Bridge is also a toll bridge. However,
stickers are available for $4 and are good for one year from date of issue.
The information I picked up recently, indicates sales will occur in
Lane 4 only, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Listed

The printed application form provides for a detachable mailing label,
as well as requesting name/address/city/state/zip.
Include that you are purchasing AVI Decal which is limited to 2 axle
vehicles, good for unlimited trips on any 2 axle vehicle for 12 months.
Completely filled in form to be mailed with payment to Maryland
Transportation, Thomas J. Hatem Memorial Bridge, 6000 Pulaski Highway,
Perryville, MD. 21903. Payment by
money order or check bearing name of applicant.
Cash will not be accepted via mail.
Check payable to Maryland Transportation Authority.
