NAME THAT COUPLE CONTEST

WHAT SHOULD THEY CALL THEMSELVES?

Naomi Jo Weiner and Bob Hofkin seek your help. They want unity without sacrificing identity in their last name. Neither is especially fond of hyphenated names. Please submit your suggestions in the following categories. Entries are limited only by your willingness to keep submitting them.

  1. Why they should use a hyphenated last name.
  2. Humorous suggestions for their last name.
  3. Serious suggestions for their last name.
  4. Nonsensical suggestions for their last name.
  5. Other. Surprise us.

Prizes may or may not be awarded according to the judges' mood at the time. To receive a prize, please include name, phone number or email on you entry. We may review these on our honeymoon if we have the strength. Obviously, you need not be present to win.

Decisions of the judges are arbitrary, capricious and final.

The above was part of our wedding festivities. We have had many request to know what people said. Included below are the entries we received. To date, we still have not found any suitable choice. We welcome your suggestions. Please email njwdance@baltwirl.com. Thank you.

Dear Naomi & Bob,

In such a dilema, some just keep their same names - it certainly avoids a lot of work of course, and for females who change their last name - it avoids that feeling of temporarily falling into a black hole as people really try to remember - now what's her new last name. I simply kept my maiden name as my middle name and went from there. I've hear of some couple who pick an entirely new last name altogether - then both have the work and feeling like they fell into that black hole - the only difference is you'll be falling there together. Have fun at whatever you choose. Lots of possibilities. Weinkin, Hofner, Hofweiner, etc. Love, Teresa Motz West

After half a lifeline creating an identity for yourself - it is important to keep that up - so go for the hyphenated name for special purposes - otherwise just retain Bob Hofkin and/or Naomi Weiner. Love, Mother

W E I N E R If not hyphenated, how about intercalated. Richard Winston

Hyphenation requires the least thinking process (ie easiest solution)
